Design Trend: Double Ended Pedestal Tubs

Pedestal tubs are a type of freestanding tub that mimic the art-deco style. These types of tubs have been gaining popularity in modern bathroom design, creating a fresh and stylish take on the 1920s and 1930s trend. The body of the tub is available in a variety of styles, from double slipper to double ended. Here are a few of our favorite bathrooms that have incorporated double end pedestal tubs into a beautiful and functional design.

This bathroom design from @warehouse67design utilizes a Randolph Morris cast iron double ended pedestal tub. The surrounding dual shower adds extra luxury for a space that complements both bath and shower lovers.

Also featuring a Randolph Morris cast iron double ended pedestal tub, this bathroom design by @lblimitedompany incorporates a fusion of several fixture finishes, shiplap and subway tile walls.

HGTV Canada’s Custom Build

Although this design was featured on HGTV Canada’s Custom Build in 2014, the design is still relevant today. The Randolph Morris cast iron double ended pedestal tub is a great choice in this rustic bathroom design. The smaller sized tub fits comfortably under the large window and allows more room for the custom wood vanity and storage wardrobes.

The bathroom design by @katiedavisdesign utilizes a no drill cast iron pedestal tub. This allows for a beautiful faucet to be mounted to the wall of the bathroom instead of the tub itself.

@the_refinedfarmhouse created an alcove space for their cast iron double ended pedestal tub. The dark hardwood floors and window shutters are a bold contrast against the white tub and shiplap walls.

Kirby (@15009farmhouse) created an elegant atmosphere with an acrylic double ended pedestal tub, chrome fixtures and marble flooring.

Designer Laurie Fulkerson of Twin Construction, Inc. created a beautiful bathroom design which was featured on Birmingham Home & Gardens’ website. The acrylic double end pedestal tub is nestled between two vanities, becoming a centerpiece for the bathroom design.
